Spectrum Erbium YAG For Micro Laser Peel

Erbium:YAG laser utilizes a 2940nm wavelength to resurface the skin. This fully ablative and customizable laser can target skin from 10 to 100 microns deep.

The Erbium:YAG laser’s 2940 nm wavelength rapidly vaporizes water in the skin, providing instant skin ablation while minimizing heat damage to surrounding tissues. Unlike CO2 lasers, Erbium offers superficial skin resurfacing, delivering superior results with advantages such as reduced anesthetic needs, shorter healing times, less redness, and lower risk of pigmentary changes.

Erbium-YAG lasers effectively treat various skin issues including acne scarring, wrinkles, skin texture, and melasma. It’s particularly effective for lines around the mouth and eyes.

Erbium:YAG laser resurfacing manages various skin conditions and lesions, including photoaging, wrinkles, and benign/malignant cutaneous lesions, with minimal invasiveness.

Unlike CO2 lasers, erbium lasers provide a gentler approach, often termed the “micro laser peel.” They target fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and mild scarring.

Both ablative and non-ablative Erbium laser resurfacing stimulate collagen reorganization and fibroblast activation, particularly yielding significant results in a shorter time with ablative resurfacing.

Topical numbing cream is used for comfort. Mild redness and sunburn-like sensation may last hours to days. Peeling may occur a few days after, and patients should avoid picking.

Erbium laser provides a safer, less painful method for achieving softer, smoother, more youthful-looking skin. Procedures are typically performed in-office with minimal discomfort.

Avoid tanning for four weeks before treatment and wear broad-spectrum SPF. Those prone to cold sores should pretreat accordingly.
