“What age should I start Botox?” is one of the most common questions in any aesthetics consultation — and the honest answer is that age is the wrong thing to measure. Skin does not age on a fixed schedule. Genetics, sun exposure, facial expressiveness, and skincare habits all shape when lines appear, which is why two people the same age can need very different plans.

It is about your lines, not your birthday

Neuromodulators like Botox soften the lines created by repeated muscle movement — frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. The right time to consider treatment is when those dynamic lines start to linger after the expression has relaxed. For some people that is in their late twenties; for others it is well into their forties. Someone very expressive, or with significant sun exposure, may notice it earlier.

The rise of “prejuvenation”

A growing number of people in their late twenties and early thirties begin with small, conservative amounts of neuromodulator before deep lines have a chance to set in. The idea, often called prejuvenation, is that softening the repeated folding of the skin early can slow how quickly permanent creases form. Used this way, treatment is subtle and preventative rather than corrective — a maintenance approach rather than a dramatic change.

Is it possible to start too early?

Starting without a clear reason is not necessary, and more is not better. There is no benefit to treating muscles that are not yet creating lasting lines. A thoughtful provider will sometimes recommend waiting, or focusing instead on the foundations that prevent aging in the first place: daily sun protection, a consistent skincare routine, and good skin health. Botox is a tool, not a starting requirement.

What matters more than age

Whatever the starting point, results come down to conservative dosing and a plan built around how an individual face moves. At LuXe Concierge Aesthetics in Davie, every treatment is performed personally by nurse practitioner Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN, so the plan — including whether to start at all — is tailored rather than templated. For those who want structure and volume as well as line softening, wrinkle relaxers are often combined with dermal fillers as part of a longer-term approach.

The bottom line

There is no universal “right age” to start Botox. The better questions are what your skin is actually doing, what you want to prevent or soften, and what a qualified provider recommends after looking at your face. A consultation answers those far better than a number.

Curious whether it is the right time for you? Schedule a consultation with Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN, in Davie for an honest, personalized recommendation.

A chemical peel does a lot of its work after you leave the treatment room. The peel itself takes minutes, but the days that follow are when skin sheds, renews, and reveals the brighter, more even tone underneath. How that skin is cared for during recovery has a real effect on the final result — and in a climate like South Florida’s, aftercare matters even more.

The first 24 to 48 hours

Right after a peel, skin is more sensitive and its protective barrier is temporarily compromised. During this window it is best to keep things simple: gentle cleansing, generous moisturizer, and no active ingredients. Skip retinoids, exfoliating acids, vitamin C, and physical scrubs entirely. Skin may feel tight, look flushed, or have a slight sheen — all normal early signs that the peel is working.

Let the peeling happen on its own

Depending on the depth of the peel, visible flaking usually begins around day two or three and continues for several days. The single most important rule of aftercare is this: do not pick, pull, or peel the flaking skin. Lifting skin before it is ready can lead to irritation, uneven results, and in some cases post-inflammatory pigmentation, especially in medium and deeper skin tones. Let it slough off naturally and keep it moisturized.

Sun protection is not optional

Fresh, newly revealed skin is highly vulnerable to ultraviolet light, and unprotected sun exposure after a peel is one of the fastest ways to undo the benefit — or trigger the very pigmentation you were treating. Daily broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher is essential, reapplied through the day, along with a hat and shade when possible. In South Florida, where strong sun is a year-round reality, this step is the difference between a peel that brightens and one that backfires.

When to reintroduce your actives

Once peeling has fully finished and skin no longer feels tight or tender, stronger products can gradually return — usually within about a week, though the exact timeline depends on the peel. Reintroduce one active at a time rather than all at once, so skin has a chance to adjust.

Getting the most from a series

Many pigment and texture concerns respond best to a series of peels spaced a few weeks apart, layered with the right at-home routine in between. This is where a personalized plan matters: peel depth, frequency, and aftercare should all be matched to your skin type and goals rather than a one-size-fits-all protocol. Peels also pair well with treatments like microneedling and targeted pigment protocols when a concern needs more than one approach.

The takeaway

A peel is only as good as the week that follows it. Gentle care, patience with the flaking, and disciplined sun protection are what turn a treatment into lasting, even-toned results.

Few treatments are surrounded by as much misinformation as Botox. For a treatment that has been used safely in medicine for decades, the myths have a surprising amount of staying power. Here is what tends to get misunderstood, and what actually happens when the treatment is performed by an experienced provider.

Myth 1: Botox will freeze your face

This is the fear that keeps many people from ever booking a consultation, and it comes almost entirely from seeing overdone results. A frozen, expressionless look is a sign of too much product placed without regard for how the face moves — not a natural consequence of the treatment. When neuromodulator is dosed conservatively and mapped to a person’s individual anatomy, the goal is a softer, rested version of the same face. Expressions still happen; the deep creases that linger after them simply soften.

Myth 2: Once you start, you can never stop

Botox is not addictive, and stopping does not make wrinkles worse than they were before. If treatments are discontinued, the muscles gradually regain their full movement and lines slowly return to their original state over a few months — no rebound, no penalty. Many people simply find they prefer the smoother result and choose to continue.

Myth 3: It is only for wrinkles you already have

Neuromodulators treat existing lines, but they are also used preventatively to soften the repeated muscle movements that etch lines in over time. This is why some people begin earlier, in smaller amounts. It is also why Botox is used for concerns that have nothing to do with wrinkles at all, including jaw slimming, a gummy smile, and excessive underarm sweating.

Myth 4: All injectors are the same

The product in the vial is standardized; the judgment behind the needle is not. Results depend on an injector’s understanding of facial anatomy, dosing, and how to balance one area against another. At LuXe Concierge Aesthetics in Davie, every treatment is performed personally by nurse practitioner Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN — never handed to a technician. That continuity is what makes results look intentional rather than generic.

Myth 5: Botox and filler are the same thing

They are often mentioned together, but they do opposite jobs. Botox and other wrinkle relaxers temporarily relax the muscles that cause dynamic lines, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. Dermal fillers restore lost volume and structure, smoothing static folds and refining contours. Many treatment plans use both, because they solve different problems.

The bottom line

Good results come from a good plan, not just a good product. If you have been putting off a consultation because of something you read or saw online, the most useful next step is a conversation with a qualified provider who can separate the myths from what actually applies to your face.

Considering Botox in Davie or the surrounding Broward communities? Schedule a consultation with Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN, to build a plan around natural, provider-performed results.

Medically reviewed by Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN · Last reviewed July 2026

Microneedling is one of the most versatile things I do — but there are two main kinds, and picking the right one makes a real difference. Here’s how I think about traditional microneedling versus RF (radiofrequency) microneedling.

What traditional microneedling does

Traditional microneedling (like our DP4 microneedling) uses fine needles to create tiny channels in the skin. That wakes up collagen and elastin and improves fine lines, acne scars, big pores, and overall texture and tone. It’s fantastic for skin quality and glow with very little downtime.

What RF microneedling adds

RF microneedling takes that and adds radiofrequency energy down into the deeper layers. That extra heat drives stronger collagen remodeling and a degree of skin tightening that traditional microneedling can’t reach — which makes it my pick for early laxity, deeper texture concerns, and the jawline and neck.

So which one is right for you?

If your main goals are smoother texture, smaller-looking pores, and glow, traditional microneedling is often perfect. If you also want to firm and tighten — especially around the lower face and neck — RF microneedling is usually the better call. A lot of my patients do a customized mix over time.

Even better with PRF

Both pair beautifully with PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) made from your own blood, which can boost healing and results — the same regenerative idea I use in hair restoration.

Personalized, and always performed by me

The best results come from matching the treatment to your skin and goals. I perform every microneedling treatment myself at LuXe in Davie. Book a consultation and we’ll build the right plan. — Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN

Medically reviewed by Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN · Last reviewed July 2026

If you’ve been fighting melasma with drugstore creams and getting nowhere, you’re in good company. Melasma is one of the most stubborn pigment problems I treat — but with the right medical approach, it really can get dramatically better.

So what is melasma?

Melasma shows up as brown or grayish-brown patches, usually on the cheeks, forehead, upper lip, and bridge of the nose. It’s driven by a mix of sun, heat, and hormones, which is exactly why it’s so common here in sunny Florida and why it often flares with pregnancy or hormonal shifts.

Why it’s so hard to treat

Melasma sits deeper and behaves differently than an ordinary sun spot. Here’s the part people don’t expect: aggressive treatments, including some lasers and IPL, can actually make melasma worse by triggering even more pigment. That’s why a careful, customized plan from someone who really understands it matters so much.

What actually works

I build a layered plan that might include Cosmelan and Dermamelan pigment programs, gentle chemical peels, prescription-strength topicals, and carefully chosen devices — always with strict sun protection and good medical-grade skincare. Consistency and daily SPF aren’t optional; they’re the whole game with melasma.

What to avoid

Skip the harsh scrubs, the unsupervised strong lasers, and any picking — all of that can make pigment worse. Melasma is a marathon, not a sprint, and the goal is steady improvement without a rebound.

Let’s build your plan

Because melasma is so individual, the safest results come from a provider who lives and breathes it. I design and perform every pigment treatment personally at LuXe in Davie. Get in touch and we’ll start yours. — Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN

Medically reviewed by Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN · Last reviewed July 2026

One of the first questions people ask me is simple: how long does Botox actually last? The short answer is three to four months for most people. The longer answer is that it depends on a few things — and there’s plenty you can do to get more out of every visit.

Why it wears off

Botox and its cousins (Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin, Daxxify) work by relaxing the muscles that crease your skin when you make expressions. Over time your body clears the product and movement gradually comes back. That’s the whole reason it’s temporary rather than permanent.

What changes how long it lasts

A lot goes into it: the area I treat (the forehead and crow’s feet often fade faster than the frown lines), your metabolism and how active you are, the dose, and the specific product. Daxxify, for instance, tends to last longer for some people, while a hardcore gym routine can burn through it a little quicker.

How to make it last

Stay consistent. Treating on a regular schedule, before movement fully returns, tends to train the muscles and stretch your results over time. Protect your skin from the sun, stay hydrated, and don’t rub the area for the first day. Honestly, though, the biggest factor is seeing an injector who doses correctly for your anatomy.

It’s not just the forehead

Botox isn’t only for the three upper-face areas. At LuXe I also do a lot of lower-face and advanced work — the Nefertiti neck lift, lip flips, softening a gummy smile, slimming the jaw, and TMJ relief. There’s more on our Botox & Wrinkle Relaxers page.

Why your provider matters

Natural, long-lasting results really come down to technique. At LuXe I perform every treatment myself — never a technician. If you’re in Davie, Weston, or anywhere in Broward and want to see what these treatments can do for you, reach out and let’s talk. — Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN

GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound have transformed weight loss for many people. But as the pounds come off — often quickly — many notice their face changing too: cheeks that look hollow, temples that sink, deeper folds around the mouth, a less defined jawline, and skin that feels looser than before. This collection of changes has earned a nickname: “Ozempic face.”

The good news is that these changes are highly treatable — and the treatments involved are exactly what we do every day at LuXe Concierge Aesthetics. Below, our nurse practitioner explains why it happens and the options we use to restore a rested, natural look without erasing the results of your hard work.

What is “Ozempic face”?

“Ozempic face” isn’t a medical diagnosis — it’s a popular term for the facial volume loss and skin laxity that can follow rapid weight loss on GLP-1 medications. When you lose weight quickly, you lose facial fat along with body fat. Because the face relies on deep and superficial fat pads for its youthful contour, even a modest loss there can make you look older, tired, or gaunt. Rapid weight loss can also outpace the skin’s ability to retract, leaving mild to moderate looseness along the cheeks, jawline, and neck.

It’s worth saying clearly: this is a cosmetic side effect of losing weight, not a sign that anything is wrong. Many people are thrilled with their results and simply want their face to look as refreshed as they feel.

Why it happens

Fat pad deflation. The cheeks, temples, and under-eyes lose volume first, flattening the midface and creating a hollow, tired look.

Collagen and elastin loss. Skin quality naturally declines with age, and rapid weight loss can make existing laxity more visible.

Skin that doesn’t shrink as fast as you do. Skin has limited elasticity, so quick changes can leave softness or sagging behind.

How we treat Ozempic face at LuXe

There is no single fix — the right plan depends on how much volume you’ve lost, your skin quality, and the look you want. In most cases we combine a few complementary treatments for the most natural result.

1. Dermal fillers — instant volume where you’ve lost it

Dermal fillers are the fastest way to restore lost volume in the cheeks, temples, under-eyes, and jawline, and to soften folds around the mouth. Results are visible immediately and can be built gradually over one or more visits for a refreshed — never overfilled — appearance.

2. Biostimulators — rebuild your own collagen

Biostimulators such as Sculptra, Radiesse, and EZGel work differently from filler: instead of simply adding volume, they prompt your body to produce its own new collagen over several weeks to months. That makes them an excellent choice for the widespread, gradual volume loss and thinning skin that often come with GLP-1 weight loss, because the improvement looks like you, just healthier.

3. Density RF skin tightening — for looseness and laxity

When the concern is loose or sagging skin rather than lost volume, Density radiofrequency skin tightening heats the deeper layers of the skin to contract existing collagen and stimulate new growth — firming the cheeks, jawline, and neck with no surgery and little to no downtime.

4. Microneedling & PRF — skin quality and prevention

Microneedling, including RF microneedling and PRF treatments, improves skin texture, thickness, and glow. Started early — even while you’re still losing weight — regular microneedling helps maintain skin quality and subtle firmness so the changes are less noticeable in the first place.

Which treatment is right for me?

The best plan is a personalized one. During a consultation, our nurse practitioner assesses your facial structure, skin quality, and goals, then recommends the right combination and sequence — often collagen-building biostimulators for foundation, filler for targeted volume, and skin tightening for laxity. Every treatment at LuXe is performed personally by the nurse practitioner, so your care is guided by advanced medical training from start to finish.

Can I prevent Ozempic face?

To an extent, yes. Losing weight at a steady pace, staying well hydrated, prioritizing protein, and starting collagen-supporting treatments like microneedling or biostimulators early can all help your face keep pace with your body. If you’re just beginning a GLP-1 journey, it’s a great time to build a preventive plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is “Ozempic face” permanent?

The volume loss will not reverse on its own while you maintain your weight, but it is very treatable with dermal fillers, collagen-building biostimulators, and skin tightening.

Do I have to stop my GLP-1 medication to get treated?

No. These aesthetic treatments are done alongside your weight-loss plan. There is no need to pause Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound.

Filler or Sculptra for Ozempic face — which is better?

They are complementary. Filler adds immediate, targeted volume, while biostimulators like Sculptra rebuild your own collagen gradually across the whole face. Many people do best with a combination decided at consultation.

How soon will I see results?

Dermal fillers give immediate volume. Biostimulators and skin tightening develop over several weeks to months as new collagen forms.

When should I start treatment?

You can start at any point, even while you are still losing weight. Beginning early can help prevent more noticeable facial changes.

In today’s aesthetic landscape, beauty is no longer about one-size-fits-all solutions. Clients are seeking results that look natural, feel intentional, and align with their lifestyle. This is where concierge aesthetics stands apart. Personalized beauty treatments don’t just enhance appearance—they elevate confidence, trust, and long-term satisfaction.

At LuXe Concierge Aesthetics, personalized care is the foundation of every treatment plan. The difference is not only visible in the results, but felt throughout the entire experience.

What Is Concierge Aesthetic Care?

Concierge aesthetics is a patient-centered approach that prioritizes customization, flexibility, and attention to detail. Rather than offering standardized treatments, concierge providers take time to understand each client’s goals, concerns, medical history, and lifestyle.

This approach allows treatments to be delivered:

In-office, in-home, or during private group events

With extended consultation time

Using a tailored, step-by-step treatment strategy

The result is care that feels intentional—not rushed—and outcomes that reflect the client’s natural beauty.

Why Personalization Matters in Aesthetic Treatments

Every face is unique. Facial anatomy, skin quality, aging patterns, and personal preferences vary significantly from person to person. Personalized aesthetic care ensures that treatments are selected and applied based on individual needs, not trends.

Customized treatment plans allow providers to:

Preserve natural facial expressions

Avoid overcorrection or “overdone” results

Improve symmetry and balance gradually

Plan treatments safely over time

This thoughtful approach yields results that appear refreshed, not obvious.

Better Results Through Expert Assessment

Personalized beauty treatments begin with a comprehensive consultation. At LuXe Concierge Aesthetics, clients are carefully evaluated to determine which treatments will provide the most effective and natural-looking outcomes.

This expert assessment considers:

Skin texture and elasticity

Facial structure and volume distribution

Areas of concern versus areas of strength

Short-term goals and long-term maintenance

By addressing the full picture, concierge aesthetics delivers results that are cohesive and long-lasting.

Minimal Downtime, Maximum Impact

Another advantage of personalized aesthetic care is efficiency. Treatments are selected not only for effectiveness, but also for how they fit into a client’s daily life. Many concierge aesthetic services are designed to deliver noticeable improvements with minimal downtime.

This makes personalized care ideal for professionals, busy parents, and clients who value discretion and convenience.

Trust, Comfort, and Long-Term Relationships

Concierge aesthetics fosters strong provider-client relationships built on trust and communication. When clients feel heard and understood, they are more confident in their treatment decisions and more satisfied with their results.

Long-term partnerships also allow providers to:

Track progress over time

Adjust treatments as the client ages

Maintain a natural, youthful appearance consistently

This continuity of care is a defining feature of concierge aesthetic services.

The LuXe Concierge Aesthetics Difference

LuXe Concierge Aesthetics combines medical expertise, advanced techniques, and a luxury concierge model to deliver personalized beauty experiences.
Personalized beauty treatments deliver better results because they respect individuality. Concierge aesthetics is not about changing who you are—it’s about enhancing what already makes you uniquely beautiful.
