One of the most common things we correct at consultation is single-treatment thinking — the idea that one syringe or one device should fix everything. Facial aging happens in layers: muscle, volume, and skin. The most natural results come from treating each layer with the tool designed for it. Here is how we build combination plans at LuXe.
The three layers of facial aging
Muscle: expression lines
Repeated muscle movement etches lines — frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet. Neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin, Daxxify) are FDA-approved to temporarily relax the responsible muscles. No filler or device does this job.
Volume: structure and shadows
With age we lose bone, fat and ligament support, which reads as hollow temples, flat cheeks, jowls and under-eye shadows. Dermal fillers — we carry Revanesse Versa, the RHA collection by Teoxane, Restylane by Galderma, Belotero and Radiesse by Merz, and Evolysse by Evolus — restore support where it was lost. Placement strategy matters more than syringe count.
Skin: quality, texture and laxity
Thin, crepey, sun-damaged skin ages a face even when volume is good. This is the layer for collagen treatment: Sculptra, dilute Radiesse, EZ Gel, RF microneedling, Density RF tightening and resurfacing lasers. We walk through this layer in depth in our collagen-building guide.
How a combination plan comes together
A typical staged plan might relax overactive muscles first, restore key volume second, and build skin quality in parallel over two to three months — because biostimulators and devices need time to generate collagen. Everything is mapped at consultation, including an Aura 3D scan of your skin and facial volume, and performed personally by Deborah Lenchus, MSN, APRN. Plans are phased deliberately — both for safety and so you can budget over time rather than all at once.
The honest part
Combination therapy is not about selling more treatments. It is about matching each concern to the tool that actually addresses it — which often means less product, not more. If a single treatment is genuinely what your face needs, that is what we will recommend.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why combine Botox, filler and biostimulators instead of choosing one?
Because they treat different causes of facial aging: neurotoxins address muscle-movement lines, fillers restore lost volume and structure, and biostimulators rebuild collagen and skin quality. Treating only one layer often leaves the others visibly unaddressed.
Can different injectables be done on the same day?
Some can be combined in one visit and some are better staged, depending on the products and areas involved. Your provider sequences the plan deliberately at consultation.
How long does a combination plan take to show results?
Neurotoxins typically show effect within days to two weeks; fillers are immediate with settling over weeks; biostimulators build gradually over two to three months as new collagen forms. Individual results vary.
Is combination treatment more natural-looking than more filler?
Often, yes. Using the right tool for each layer usually requires less filler overall than trying to solve every concern with volume alone, which is a common cause of an overfilled look.
