How do I restore facial volume and still look natural?
“Volume loss is where a real consultation matters most, because the right plan is rarely one product and often a thoughtful combination. Lips are the one area that truly call for a hyaluronic-acid dermal filler — biostimulators are not used there. For under-eyes I prefer regenerative options made from your own blood, EZ Gel or PRF, often alongside a small amount of HA filler. For broader volume restoration I love biostimulators — EZ Gel, Radiesse and Sculptra — because they rebuild volume and improve skin quality at the same time over a series of sessions; if you would rather not do several visits, or are not a candidate, HA fillers are an excellent alternative. The secret to looking natural is facial balancing: treat only one area and the face falls out of proportion, and that imbalance is what reads as ‘done.’ It actually takes a fair amount of well-placed product to look overfilled — one syringe is about a fifth of a teaspoon, roughly a blueberry, so spread across the face you would barely notice it, and most people need several syringes to see a real, still-natural difference. That is why you are not really paying for a syringe; you are paying for the injector’s judgment about which filler belongs in each area and how much, since many factors go into that choice. Lips need a soft HA filler designed for movement; the cheeks and jawline can take a firmer, more structural product or a biostimulator that rebuilds collagen; and the under-eye is delicate, so I prefer regenerative EZ Gel or PRF, sometimes with a small amount of HA. I weigh the tissue depth, how much the area moves, how long you want it to last, and whether you would rather build gradually with a biostimulator or see an immediate change with HA.
