If you have researched wrinkle-relaxing injections, you have likely seen five names: Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, Daxxify, and Xeomin. They are all botulinum toxin type A “neuromodulators,” and they all soften expression lines by relaxing the muscles underneath. The real questions patients ask are which one lasts the longest, which looks the most natural, and which is right for their face. Here is how they compare, and how we choose at LuXe Concierge Aesthetics in Davie & Weston, FL.

Quick comparison

Product Active Typical onset Typical duration Best known for
Botox onabotulinumtoxinA 3–5 days 3–4 months The original, highly predictable
Dysport abobotulinumtoxinA 2–4 days 3–4 months Fast onset, spreads well over larger areas
Jeuveau prabotulinumtoxinA 2–4 days 3–4 months “Newtox,” crisp on frown lines
Daxxify daxibotulinumtoxinA 1–3 days up to 6 months (varies) Longest-lasting for many patients
Xeomin incobotulinumtoxinA 3–5 days 3–4 months “Naked” toxin, no complexing proteins

Which one lasts the longest?

On average, Daxxify tends to last the longest — many patients see 5 to 6 months, versus roughly 3 to 4 months for Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin. That said, “longest” is not automatically “best.” Duration varies with your metabolism, muscle strength, dose, and how expressive you are.

Which looks the most natural?

Natural results depend far more on who is injecting and how than on the brand. Every one of these products can look soft and natural or overdone, depending on dosing and placement. The goal at LuXe is movement that looks like you, rested — not frozen.

Deborah’s Clinical Perspective

In my practice, I rarely tell a patient there is one “best” neuromodulator — I match the product to the face and the goal. I reach for Dysport when I want smooth, even softening across a broader forehead because it diffuses nicely. I like Jeuveau for crisp results on stubborn “11” frown lines in younger, strong-muscled patients. Daxxify is my go-to for patients who travel or want the longest stretch between appointments. Xeomin suits patients who want a “pure” formulation, and classic Botox remains wonderfully predictable for first-timers who want to start conservatively.

Because every treatment at LuXe is performed personally by me — never handed off to a technician — I can dose to your anatomy and adjust product choice visit to visit. That is the part brand comparisons leave out.

How we choose the right one for you

At your consultation we assess muscle strength, how your lines behave at rest versus in motion, your history with tox, your budget, and how often you realistically want to come in. From there we recommend a product and a conservative dose, then refine at your two-week follow-up.

Frequently asked questions

Is Daxxify always better because it lasts longer?

Not necessarily. Longer duration is a real advantage for many patients, but a shorter-acting product can be preferable while we are dialing in your ideal dose and placement.

Can I switch between brands?

Yes. Many patients try one and switch based on how they respond. Switching is common and safe when supervised by an experienced injector.

Do they all treat the same areas?

They treat the same common areas — frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet — plus advanced uses. Unit conversions differ between products, so dosing should be individualized.

How long until I see results?

Most patients notice softening within 2 to 4 days, with full effect around two weeks.

Which is best for a first-timer?

Many first-timers start with Botox or Jeuveau at a conservative dose so we can assess response before committing to a longer-acting option like Daxxify.
