The Nefertiti lift is a neuromodulator technique named for the famously crisp jawline of the Egyptian queen. Instead of adding anything, it strategically relaxes the platysma — the thin sheet of muscle running from the jaw down the neck — whose constant downward pull can blur the jawline, deepen early jowls and create vertical neck bands.

How it works

Small doses of neurotoxin are placed along the jawline and into the platysmal bands. With the downward pull softened, the elevator muscles of the face regain the advantage, and the jawline reads cleaner and slightly lifted. Results build over about two weeks and typically last three to four months.

Who it suits

The best candidates have early jowling or visible platysmal bands with reasonably good skin tone — often patients in their late 30s to 50s who are not ready for, or do not need, more involved treatments. It also pairs beautifully with treatments that address the skin itself.

Who it does not suit

Tox relaxes muscle; it cannot tighten loose skin. If laxity or crepey texture is the main story, we usually steer toward Density RF skin tightening, hyperdilute Radiesse, RF microneedling or resurfacing — sometimes with the Nefertiti technique layered on afterward. Honest notes

Using neuromodulators in the platysma and lower face is an off-label application based on clinical judgment — FDA-approved tox indications are in the upper face.
