For an aging neck, the two treatments we reach for most are Density RF skin tightening and hyperdilute Radiesse. They solve different halves of the same problem — and the best plans often use both.

What each one does

Density delivers radiofrequency energy that heats the deeper skin layers, triggering tightening and collagen remodeling — think of it as shrinking and firming the fabric. Typically 1–2 sessions, minimal downtime.

Hyperdilute Radiesse is a collagen biostimulator placed into the skin itself, rebuilding thickness and quality where the neck has gone thin and crepey — think of it as re-weaving the fabric. Typically 2–3 sessions, spaced weeks apart. Hyperdilute use is off-label, guided by clinical judgment.

How we choose

Mild laxity with decent skin quality leans Density. Crepey, thinned skin texture leans hyperdilute Radiesse. Most necks over 45 show both problems — which is why we often sequence the two, and why energy-based treatment and biostimulation are widely considered complementary rather than competing.

What neither replaces

Visible platysmal bands respond to the Nefertiti lift, deeper etched texture may call for Erbium or CO2 resurfacing, and significant laxity beyond what devices address is a surgical conversation — we will tell you honestly if that is the case.
